Aussie Hoops Joins Regional Academy

Regional Academy is proud announce the inclusion of Basketball Australia’s Aussie Hoops in its range Domestic & Grassroots programs.

Replacing ‘Intro to Basketball’, Aussie Hoops is aimed at 5 to 10 year boys and girls, who are new to the sport or looking to learn about basketball in a fun and supportive environment.

Frankston Junior and WNBL guard Steph Reid will return to lead the program in Term 1.

“Aussie Hoops is a national program which provides an environment where children of all abilities can achieve on the court and reap the rewards of skill development, enhanced self-esteem, social co-operation and grassroots sports participation.

“Aussie Hoops is a successful, nationally recognised program that we are excited to be running” said Program Coordinator Jarryd Moss. “Partnering with Basketball Australia and Basketball Victoria through our Aussie Hoops program will give us access to the best coaching and player resources available to continue to improve the services we offer in a Domestic & Grassroots space”.

Along with our in-house program, Regional Academy will also be launching a Schools Program that will see our Regional Academy coaches running camps in schools throughout the Frankston and District area. More details on the Regional Academy in Schools Program will be announced shortly including information about how schools can register for the programs, coaching announcements and much more.
