Monday Evening Grand Final Wrap-Up (Winter 2018)
Grand Final action continued at Frankston Stadium with the Monday Men’s competitions, with some unexpected season results.
4 Maybe 5 proved too good in the premier division. After a tight first half, a solid team performance saw them open up a match winning lead early in the second. They scored an impressive 14 3-pointers in the 15 point win. Ben Van Leeuwen lead the charge with 8 field goals from downtown on his way to a game high 26 points. Ryan Tindal was a force at both ends picking up 21 points and the MVP award.
After finishing runner up over Summer 2017/18, Pistons went one better taking out the B2 division title. Cade Egan (20 points) put in a big game all round game and was well supported by Derek Magor (22 points).
Sonics Booms (C3) and Old Skool Ballerz (D2) both went back to back with hard fought wins.
In the D3 competition Lachlan Campain earned himself MVP for Black Panthers, producing the goods when it mattered the most with a season high 9 points .
