Frankston Basketball Regional Academy is proud to announce that our School Holiday ELITE PLAYER DEVELOPMENT CAMP will be hosted by Avi Meyerson.

Avi Meyerson is a premiere player development coach, working in camps and academies in Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific. Meyerson, a native of Seattle, Wash., U.S., has more than 15 years of advanced basketball coaching experience. Before his move to Melbourne, Meyerson coached both college and professional basketball.

He served on both the men’s and women’s basketball coaching staffs at Occidental College in Los Angeles, Calif. While with Occidental, the men’s program advanced to back-to-back NCAA Div. III Men’s Basketball Championships for the first time in school history. Meyerson also spent one season as an assistant at Cal State Dominguez Hills.

Prior to working in the collegiate ranks, Meyerson was a player/coach for Lemvig Basketball Club in Denmark from 2001-03.

Following his European experience, Meyerson returned to school and earned his master’s degree from Washington State University, where he also served as a graduate assistant from 2003-05. At WSU, Meyerson worked under legendary basketball coaches Dick and Tony Bennett. The latter (Tony) is currently the head coach for the University of Virginia men’s basketball program in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and recently led the Cavaliers to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament.

The camp will run Thursday 11th and Friday 12th January 2018 at Frankston Basketball Stadium.

It is offered to both VJBL and A Grade Domestic Players for $160 both days.
